In April, the Thermos company issued recalls of over 8 million products. A defect in the lid resulted in users being struck by a stopper when it was forcefully ejected from the container. Consequently, these users suffered lacerations and other injuries requiring medical attention. At least three consumers have suffered permanent eye damage.

If you have a Thermos brand Stainless King Food Jar or Sportsman Food & Beverage Bottle, then you should stop using it. The lack of pressure relief in the center of the stopper makes the product dangerous to use.
